We were asked to write about what kind of immersion we are doing with Spanish.
I watch a lot of Videos for e.g. extra en español. I watch this on TV for the feeling of really watching TV and not learning. I siempre tell my family happyly when I understood a word or even better a whole sentance. :-)
I also like to watch Dreaming Spanish. I like the simple videos a lot. I watch a least three of them per day.
I bought some Spanish novels (A1 level). The book "Muerte in Buenos Aires" (see my post) I will not translate, but read it once/week to see if I made any progress in understanding more words. And I can already say "I did" just after one week.
I also use the LyricsTraining App and sing and dance to the music. My family probably thinks she got loca. ;-)
The next time I go Tango dancing I try to understand some words/phrases. Although I know that "Tango lyric" is not quite easy to understand because I uses a certain slang ("Lunfardo").
The other day I tried to write the shopping list in Spanish.
I wish I could memorise more vocabulary to be able to understand more. But I don't want to stress me. I know that just memorising is not a good way of learning a language.
Wow... Muy bien Uli! Estás haciendo muchas cosas para aprender español! ¡Felicitaciones! 👏👏👏
ReplyDeleteThat's so cool that you dance tango! And that you dance and sing at home. I love that.
ReplyDeleteHola Ulis,
ReplyDeleteMe gusta tu process. Creo dancing does help. Involving movement is always a benefit.
